What happens when I hit my AI credit limit?
On the Free plan, you get 30 credits/month. Pro users get 500 credits/month. Once reached, you can continue typing notes normally, but AI features will be paused until the next cycle.
How is AI credit usage calculated?
Basic operations (Summarize, Rewrite, Tags, Outline, Clean, Todo) use 1 credit. Advanced operations (Q&A, Tasks, Translate, Expand, Ask Notive) use 2 credits.
How secure is my data?
Extremely secure. Notive uses AES-256-GCM encryption at rest with SQLCipher, TLS 1.2+ in transit, and Row Level Security on Supabase. We also provide ISP DNS bypass with custom DoH resolvers.
Do you train models on my notes?
Never. Your notes are private. We have a strict zero-ad policy and our AI integrations are used solely for inference to generate your requests. They are not used to train global models.
Can I use my own API keys?
Currently, we use our own fine-tuned models and managed enterprise-grade APIs to ensure reliability and speed. Support for custom API keys for enterprise users is on our roadmap.
Does Notive support teams?
Individual Pro accounts are for personal use. We are currently testing a "Notive for Teams" beta which includes central billing and shared workspace features.
Can I export my data at any time?
Absolutely. You own your data. Export individual notes as Markdown, PDF or your entire library as CSV or JSON anytime with no lock-in.
What happens if I downgrade my plan?
If you downgrade to Free, you'll keep all your existing notes. However, you will be limited to the Free tier's AI and storage limits for future use. Pro-only features like Semantic Search and Attachments will be paused.
Is there a limit on the number of sync devices?
No. Notive supports seamless synchronization across all your desktop, web, and mobile devices with a single account.
Does Notive support Google Drive backups?
Yes! You can securely backup your entire note library to your personal Google Drive account. This provides an extra layer of redundancy while maintaining your data privacy.
